Is it true that e-mail era will be over, or even will be left soon? The truth is, that some researches have proven the facts that e-mail popularity has dropped.

Take one example, instant messaging (IM) might replace e-mail as the main application in business communication in 2010. That is what revealed in the latest IDC (International Data Corporation) research. This situation happens because more and more workers have been addicted to IM which offers many advantages than email. The IDC research which is called ‘The Hyperconnected: Here They Come’ includes 2400 workers from 17 countries.

As quoted from PCWorld, two third of workers are counted in the ‘hyperconnected’ category using IM to work and their private activity.  This ‘hyperconnected’ category means that the worker uses at least 7 tools for network access and 9 computer applications to stay connected.

While in 2007, taken from a study from Pew Internet & American Life Project, 92 percent of adult in United States use email routine. However, only 16 percent of teenager who use email. This study means that e-mail popularity is dropping in younger people’s eyes in United States.

Nonetheless, some experts predict that e-mail won’t be gone in the future. They argue that even with so many other alternatives to communicate, e-mail still has a lot of advantages than other communication tools.

In months time, Asus will be ready to launch the next version of Eee PC, which will be equipped with 3G connectivity. This is a good news for me as I’ve been waiting for an Eee PC with 3G connection for months now.

Asus plan with this new version of Eee PC is to ship it first to Europe in September. Looking at how the low-price 3G laptops in the market is getting hotter, they are hoping that this 3G Eee PC will be able to compete with its rivals who will be doing the same thing. We still have no confirmation about the price of this 3G laptop though.

One of the companies that will add 3G wireless connectivity for its laptop is Elitegroup Computer System (ECS), who has made a new contract with 3G service provider in Europe to distribute its G101L mini-notebook. According to ECS plan, this product will be available in the market in this September or October.

Eee PC 3G and G101L will surely be equipped with 3G HSDPA/HSUPA (High Speed Downlink/Uplink Packet Access), so that the laptop owner can go to service provider and get a 3G card, or wireless plan to use the network anytime. Eee PC 3G and other mini laptops which also equipped with 3G are rumoured to be in bundle with contract from 3G service provider thus lower the price of the laptop. Let’s hope it will be available in our nearest computer stores soon. Can’t wait.

Good news for all of you who are planning to buy MacBook Air, because Apple has cut off this super thin laptop. The discount is estimated to be around US$ 500

As quoted from Techweb, the price drop of MacBook Air happens because some of MacBook Air components got price drops as well. Such as Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz processor which price has dropped around U$ 100 and solid-state drive with 64GB capacity dropped around US$ 400

For its deluxe model, MacBook Air is tagged at US$ 2.598 from earlier price US$ 3.098. As for the basic model with a 1.6 Ghz processor will still be around US$ 1.799. Some technology experts believe that this laptop price drop will attract more Mac laptop buyers.

Mac Book Air which released in January 2008 has 13.3 inch wide and a full size keyboard. Weighted as light as 1.5kg and the thickness of front side is around 0.16 inches. The only thing missing is an optical drive. Also, be carefull when you put your MacBook Air. I heard a story of a guy throw away his MacBook Air accidentally because it was in his old magazines pile. What a poor guy.

Quantum of Solace story plot is about James Bond, 007 agent who is seeking revenge for the death of his girlfriend while saving the world from an act of evil environmentalist, played by Dominic Greene,  who wants to take control of a country’s water supply. Until now, Apple’s touch screen phone, iPhone always sold together with a bundled from local operator. And now, there is a good news. You can buy new iPhone independently without any bundled from its operator partner.

As quoted from Reuters, customers who want to buy new iPhone 3G without being tied to contract agreement with AT&T & Inc. operator can buy the phone individually. The bad news is, that you have to pay additional charge of US$400. Pretty expensive huh?

iPhone 3G which will be launched on this July 11th, will be sold and bundled with AT&T at US$199 for the capacity of 8GB. However, AT&T announced that there will be other option for customer which is buying iPhone 3G from AT&T, with no obligation that the phone have to run on AT&T network.

As for that separate purchase, you can buy iPhone 3G with 8GB capacity at US$599, while for iPhone 3G with 16GB capacity will be tagged at US$699. For the moment, AT&T spokeperson said that they can’t promise yet when the option of buying iPhone 3G individually will be officially realize.

This is a really bad news for me as an XP fan. Microsoft will stop the selling of Windows XP operation system from retails and big computer producers from today. This step is taken by Microsoft in the middle of huge protest waves from PC users that don’t want to change to XP successor, Windows Vista.

Windows XP based computers are not available anymore in the PC producers stocks such as Dell and Hewlett-Packard. For die-hard XP user who wants to use XP in a new computer, has to buy Windows Vista Ultimate or Vista Business first, then legally downgraded it to XP.

However, Microsoft still allows small PC outlets to buy Windows XP and resell it until the end of January 2009. Windows XP is also available for cheap PC or laptops such as Asus eee pc.

A group of consumers who made a petition called “Save XP” is asking Microsoft to sell XP at least until the next operation system, which is called Windows 7 is available.

Claimed missing, Kate Moss’ hair extension appear on eBay. It is in auction, and the money will be donated to anti drugs foundation. Interested?

As reported in the Berliner Zeitung papers, Moss took off her hair extension while trying to escape from paparazzi, from Adlon hotel, where she stayed in Berlin. John Farr admitted that he took that hair and put it in an on-line auction. And it will be donated to Anti Drugs Foundation, Keine Macht den Drogen (No Power to
Drugs).

“I hope, Kate will not be bothered about this matter. I didn’t have time to ask her permission first because
she was in a rush,” said Farr. Until now, there are nine bidders already, with the highest offer of 56 euro plus delivery cost. This auction ends on 3rd July 2008.

A teenager tortured her brother because of deleting a comment in her MySpace. This teenager attacked her brother with a knife. It started when a teenager named Stephanie Torres, 18, knew that a comment in her My Space was deleted by her 12 years old brother. She became very furious then she stepped her brother three times with a pocket knife that was hung on her key chain.

Her brother had injuries on his neck, arms, and ribs. Fortunately, his condition was stable. After attacking her brother, Torres ran away with her car. However, the police eventually arrested her. Torres had to be responsible with her action. She was arrested in jail, and had to pay a collateral of USD75,000 if she wanted to be out of jail.

It is understandable that every person loves to play games. However, it is so tragic that a teenager suicide just because he is unable to play games. This poor British teenager name is Jake Roberts.

For his birthday, this 13 years old guy bought himself a Nintendo Wii from the money given by his parents. Roberts hurried back home in Scarborough, North York, he was so eager to try his new Wii. However, he was unable to try his Wii since the TV at home was used by his brother.

Since his brother didn’t want to quit watching TV, they had a fought and Robert locked himself in his room. An hour later, John – Robert’s dad – found his son hung himself. “I think he didn’t really mean to commit suicide. He was so angry because of the game and did a really stupid thing,” said John.
