Finally, iPhone 3G Will Be Sold Independently

Until now, Apple’s touch screen phone, iPhone always sold together with a bundled from local operator. And now, there is a good news. You can buy new iPhone independently without any bundled from its operator partner.

As quoted from Reuters, customers who want to buy new without being tied to contract agreement with AT&T & Inc. operator can buy the phone individually. The bad news is, that you have to pay additional charge of US$400. Pretty expensive huh?

iPhone 3G which will be launched on this July 11th, will be sold and bundled with at US$199 for the capacity of 8GB. However, AT&T announced that there will be other option for customer which is buying iPhone 3G from AT&T, with no obligation that the phone have to run on AT&T network.

As for that separate purchase, you can with 8GB capacity at US$599, while for iPhone 3G with 16GB capacity will be tagged at US$699. For the moment, AT&T spokeperson said that they can’t promise yet when the option of buying iPhone 3G individually will be officially realize.
