Quarter of Earth Population Will Be Online in 2012

Internet usage is spreading, even for under developed countries. In four years time from now, the amount of people who are online is predicted to reach quarter of earth population.

This prediction is said by researchers at Jupiter Research. According to this analyst company, internet users will reach around 1.8 billion people in 2012, which is equal to 25 percent of earth population. Jupiter also predict that the increasing user will come from countries who have lots of population, such as China, Russia, India and Brazil. The total increase is predicted to be more than 44 percent between 2007-2012.

According to Vikram Sehgal, director of Jupiter Research, developing countries also has big potentials in this technology spreading. Users penetration from developing countries is as big as users from big countries. It is also said that Asia has the biggest potential to have biggest internet users in the world.
