US Nuclear Software Smuggled To Iran

An American born Iranian scientist founded guilty of bringing nuclear software to Iran. This happens in time when US has suspect that Iran is building nuclear weapon. The scientist name is M. Reza Alavi, and he has admitted guilty in order to lessen his punishment. He was charged with breaking US trade embargo against Iran before, and also charged with illegal access to computer.

Alavi worked at Nuclear Plant in Palo Verde, Arizona. In 2006, he quit from the plant and go home to Iran bringing laptop containing a software from the nuclear plant.

This software does not have any connection with how to build nuclear weapon, but it is a nuclear training software. Alavi was arrested in 2007 when he came back to USA to attend his daughter’s birthday.
